The first card’s paper is from Prima’s Craftsman Collection, Architect. The die cuts are Spellbinder’s, Sprockets. I used black Archival Ink then Metallic Distress Inks, pewter, brass and bronze on the gears to try to give them a metallic look. Tim Holtz’s Time Traveller was colored with Copics and Spectrum Noire markers. Oh I just noticed I forgot to accent the gents monicle with clear Glossy Accents. This card is for my Dad who is a retired engineer and I know he will get a kick out of this card.

This second card my Son gave to DH. Stampin’ Up’s Open Sea and the helm from Impression Obsession were fussy cut. These pieces were colored with Distress Markers and mounted on the Tim Holtz texture fade. The die cuts are from Memory Box, Big Splash Border and Parker Upper Alphabet Set.
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads.

Happy Easter Tag
The cutting dies I used for this project came from Cherry Lynn, Memory Box, and the Martha Stewart flower punch.
The lavender background was embossed with a Stampin Up texture fade. Distress markers were used to watercolor the images. Distress Inks for shading. Tim Holtz stamps. And finally a bit of plastic Easter Grass.

Merry Christmas
I wish everyone the Merriest Christmas. Tomorrow I off to Cape Breton to spend Christmas with my Dad. Yes I’m taking my stamps and several board games to occupy my family (uh huh the stamps are for me). Five years ago my 85 year old Dad decided to cancell his internet, his reason being …” I never think to use it.” So we are shifting gears and giving the world wide web a rest. Hopefully I will have lots to post in two weeks.
All the best to everyone!

Christmas Postcards
This gorgeous stamp is from Stampendous. As you can see I am still in that tea dye distress rut. The holly in one card has recycled holly from one of last years Xmas cards. The others holly was simply colored with copics.

Paper Roses
This card was inspired by Lisa at the CRAFTINGCOTTAGE. Lisa makes such elegant cards with flowers, they’re like a breath of fresh air.
I used the rose Sizzix cutting die and rolled the paper with a chopstick. I am more comfortable working in the “grunge style”. Perhaps I
will try the light and elegant style Lisa has mastered after Xmas.

Owl Tag
Darcie’s SA Owl Queen Cling stamp, Hero Arts Harlequin Background stamp, distress tea dye, and Inka Gold were
used in making this tag. This majestic owl is another new favorite. I’m sure you will see me using it again and again.

That Hallowe’en Feeling
When I think Hallowe’en, a little Poe comes to mind. The Stampendous Raven Background stamp,
distress tea dye and vintage photo were used in making this fast and easy card.
